What are the functions of the filter
Release time:2022-05-19

Filter is a kind of filter device, most of which are used in automobile engines. The following is a detailed introduction to its specific role by Collier Environmental Protection Technology (Kunshan) Co., LTD.

  The function of the filter:

  1. Floating oil filter, in order to make the oil pump work normally, must remove the large particles in the lubricating oil before entering the oil pump. This task is undertaken by the filter. It is connected to the oil inlet of the pump. When the pump is working, the oil is injected through the gap between the cap and the float, filtered through a filter to remove bulky impurities, and then into the pump through tubing welded to the float. When the screen is spaced, the suction of the inlet pipe will increase. Overcoming the strength of the screen, the damaged port leaves the cover, and the oil enters the suction pipe directly from the ring port without passing through the screen.

  2. The crude filter is connected in series between the oil pump and the main oil passage, so it is also called the full-flow filter, which is used to remove the interfering variables in the oil. It is mainly composed of upper cover, housing, filter paper element and bypass valve. When the pressure of the lubricating oil is fed into the cavity around the filter element, the impurities in the oil boundary are separated by the paper filter element, and the clean lubricating oil enters the inner cavity of the filter element, and then enters the main oil passage through the oil outlet into the cylinder block.

  3. Fine filter: its function is to filter out minor impurities in lubricating oil. It is usually connected parallel to the main oil channel and comes in two types: centrifugal and sheet type.

4, the structure of the centrifugal fine filter: the hollow shaft is fixed on the shell, and the rotor body is connected with the end sleeve, which is located on the thrust bearing and can rotate freely around the rotor shaft. The compression nut holds the rotor cover and the rotor body together. When the rotor is running, a small amount of oil is drawn from the oil pump and into the filter through the oil port. When the oil pressure is below 9s kPa, the oil inlet pressure limiting valve is closed and the fine filter does not work. When the oil pressure exceeds 98 kPa, the pressure limiting valve gradually opens, and the oil is ejected from the oil outlet through the central hole of the rotor shaft. It then enters the rotor body through the oil hole and exemplifies from the two nozzles, thus inserting a reaction force to push the rotating hand to rotate. When the oil pressure rises to 294 kPa, the rotor displacement can reach more than 5000r/min. The impurity ratio in the lubricating oil in the rotor cavity under the action of rotating centrifugal force, it is thrown to the center of clean lubricating oil from the center into the two nozzles, and constantly over the spray, the spray of lubricating oil flow back to the lower crankcase.
